Police K-9 Deployment Salinas Chronicle captured this exclusive video showing the dramatic end of a police pursuit on northbound Highway 101 in Salinas. According to reports, the incident began with a suspected carjacking in San Luis Obispo County. The vehicle was later located, leading to a pursuit that ended near Main Street and Boronda Road. CHP and Salinas Police officers surrounded the gray vehicle and ordered the female suspect to exit with firearms drawn. Less-lethal equipment was also visible during the standoff. The woman refused to get out, and officers eventually deployed a K-9. This video shows the moments leading up to and including the K-9 deployment that helped bring the suspect into custody. CHP officers provided medical aid following the arrest.
