deadly robbery in Lewisburg

PULASKI, Tenn. (WSMV) – The suspect in a robbery homicide investigation out of Marshall County was captured one county over on Wednesday, according to the Lewisburg Police Department.Officers responded to the Marathon gas station in the 1500 block of Mooresville Highway just after 10 p.m. on Tuesday. There, they discovered Paresh “Prince” Patel, 34, shot to death in an apparent robbery homicide.The investigation, which included surveillance video of the suspect’s car, led detectives to identify 50-year-old David Hamilton as the suspect.

Lewisburg Police has identified and arrested a suspect in the robbery homicide that occurred at the Marathon located at 1535 Mooresville Hwy in Lewisburg, TN. The suspect was taken into custody in Pulaski, TN with the assistance of Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Pulaski PD and Giles County Sheriff’s Office. The suspect David Hamilton has charged with criminal homicide. Additional charges are forthcoming.
