Baltimore, Maryland — July 7, 2026 – Baltimore Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying six suspects in an attempted armed robbery in the Liberty Square neighborhood. On July 7, 2026, at approximately 3:46 a.m., a 74-year-old male victim was assaulted outside a 7-Eleven in the 2500 block of Liberty Heights Avenue. Surveillance video released by police shows the suspects, described as younger black males, approaching the victim. One suspect displayed a gray assault-style rifle and another held a sword. The individuals were also seen throwing items at the victim. The incident is classified as an attempted armed robbery. Citywide Robbery detectives in the Northern District are investigating. No arrests have been made, and the suspects’ identities are unknown. Specific details on the victim’s injuries were not disclosed.

A paraglider gets hit by a Cessna 172 near the Austrian town of Zell am See. The paraglider was able to pull her rescue parachute and land safely shortly after the incident on Saturday. According to police, the 44-year-old Austrian had started from Schmittenhöhe in the direction of Piesendorf. Above the Pinzgauer Hütte, she collided at 1:15 p.m. with the Cessna piloted by a 28-year-old. The pilot of the Cessna, which flew from the Glemm Valley in the direction of Zell am See, was able to land the aircraft safely at Zell am See Airport.
